Believe it or not, these are all carrots.  Grown in our tiny little townhouse garden, we harvested them a few weeks ago and were surprised with their varied colours and shapes.

They reminded me a little of a favourite childhood book, “Bugs Bunny’s Carrot Machine”, in which Bugs builds a carrot machine that spits out carrots that are green, square, wrong texture… every thing a carrot is not supposed to be.

Well these carrots may not look like carrots, but they sure tasted like carrots… fresh from the garden 🙂

Temperatures are warmer, flowers are poking up through the ground… and Easter brought a fabulous sunny weekend to the soggy west coast!
